Located in the village of Chorleywood in Hertfordshire, The Gate is situated 20 miles from Charing Cross. Part of the London Commuter Belt, the village is well-connected with London as well as the surrounding area, making it easily accessible.

Chorleywood has its own tube station on the Metropolitan line. Situated in Zone 7, the stop lies between Chalfont and Latimer, and Rickmansworth. Alternatively, if you’re travelling by bus, the 336 route runs between High Wycombe and Watford via Chorleywood.

If you’re driving, the village is located at junction 18 of the M25 and A404.

Keeping Busy in Chorleywood

Within the village itself, Chorleywood Common is the perfect place to take in some fresh air and explore the beautiful natural surroundings. Bringing together wide open spaces and mixed woodland, this wild oasis is enjoyed by walkers, riders, and visitors of all ages. Of course, once you’ve built up a healthy appetite, The Gate will allow you to refresh and refuel in style and comfort.

Chorleywood House Estate is another great day out. The estate features a grand eighteenth century house as well as expansive grounds including ponds, a sunken garden, sculptures, and even an orchard.

For any Harry Potter fans, the Warner Brothers Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter is close by. Once you’ve finished exploring the magical world, head to The Gate to reflect on your enchanting day over a delicious bite to eat or a refreshing drink.
